Duties and Responsibilities

• Research and draft technical memoranda regarding tax positions relevant to various types of tax exempt financing structures
• Assist management with resolving complex tax issues
• Organize and reconcile client provided data
• Manage multiple projects and people
• Review results to determine reasonableness
• Prepare client work papers and deliverables while managing tight deadlines
• Perform technical research and document findings
• Execute special projects

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in tax research, including the use of research tools such as CCH, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of tax law, tax compliance and GAAP
• Excellent communication skills are required, both oral and written
• Aptitude for complex financial and accounting related topics
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex financial modeling
• Proficient use of other Microsoft Office applications
• Strong work ethic
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work productively as a member of a team
• Take Pride in work product
• Practice self initiative

Education and Experience
The ideal candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant, possess a Master’s degree in Accounting, and have three or more years of related tax work experience.

We are seeking candidates to fill the role of Staff Analyst.  The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, the ability to work productively as a member of a team and a strong understanding of accounting/finance concepts.

Duties and Responsibilities include: 

• Organize and reconcile client provided data
• Analyze cash flow activity and other relevant data to identify errors and summarize results
• Use robust Excel models to perform complex financial calculations
• Review results to determine reasonableness
• Prepare client work papers and deliverables within time prescribed
• Perform technical research and document findings, as needed
• Perform ad hoc special projects, as needed

Required: 

• Strong user of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to communicate well (written and verbally)
• Aptitude for complex financial and accounting related topics
• Strong work ethic
• Strong attention to detail
• Pride in work product
• Self initiative
• 5+ years of finance/accounting related work experience and/or a business related degree from an accredited college or university

Preferred: 

• Advanced user of Excel and/or Access
• 2+ years of public accounting
